Here is a new segment on my blogroll called, “WE DON’T SALUTE U,” or simply, WDSU.

Blog-isode #1: Douchebags.

The Story Behind It: I was driving in Greece, minding my own biz and a these two D-bags pass me going way over the speed limit (of course, the cars were d-bag kind of cars…souped up Mitsubishi Lancer Evo and Infiniti G35 coupe).

Mitsubishi Lancer EVO by gregory_gdp.

So, I pull in to Wegmans to get food, and these d-bags were there. They come out of their vehicles with the flaming/gel-infested DRAGONBALL Z hair and orange tans. They look at me with disgust and their pouty lips look. YUCK!

Signs of a Douchebag:

1.) The over-gel their hair.
2.) They over-tan to the point of “Oompa Loomp-iness.”
3.) They treat their Girlfriend like s!#t.
4.) They wear three layers of popped-collared polos.
5.) They love to pose and make “silly” faces (i.e. pouty lips, the “shocker”, etc.).
6.) They have rock-hard abs and love to show them off.
7.) They treat their broskis like s!#t.
8.) All they think of is sex and themselves.
9.) They drive souped up cars that probably is worth their life savings.
10.) They are featured on THIS website. (click on the link)

^^^^ Yeah…kinda like THAT! ^^^^

This led me to write about this and say: “Ladies, please don’t date douchebags!”

I admit, I may wear stuff that might make me look like a d-bag, but Iam far from it!

It’s all about character…and Douchebags have NO real character. They just think they’re the s!#t!

WE DON’T SALUTE U, DOUCHEBAGS OF THE WORLD!

The King of Pop

Posted in: Music

I’ve been going through a wide range of emotion since hearing of Michael Jackson’s passing.

I used to spin the Thriller record.

I used to play the Bad tape.

I used to listen to the Dangerous CD.

His music was a huge part of my youth.  Apparently, I’m not alone seeing how he has influenced so many of the artists you hear on 98 PXY today.

Was he talented?  Without a doubt.

Was he troubled? No question.

Did he do all of the things he was accused of doing? Can’t say.  Maybe?

I despise the thought of him, or anyone for that matter, molesting children.  He was acquited.  I choose to believe he was mentally in a place that none of us could ever understand.  He didn’t have a childhood they way you or I did.  He was a superstar his whole life.  It was all he knew.

Think about it.  There isn’t another celebrity on the planet who could go anywhere and get recognized.

Think about his influence.  I remember this performance.

The next day in school everyone was trying to Moonwalk (I never figured out how to do it, btw). The bass line for Billie Jean is epic.

How about this lyric-“If you can’t feed your baby (yeah yeah) Then don’t have a baby!”

Amen.

So, I guess my lasting impression of Michael Jackson won’t be the troubled recluse he became, but the amazing performer he was.  The way his music, dancing, and fashion influenced a generation.

R.I.P.

You may be gone, but you’re legacy will go on forever.

MICHAEL JACKSON, the King of Pop…dies at age 50.

With multi-platinum hits and albums, he spanned generations of music, and influenced music even to this day.

We wouldn’t have KANYE WEST, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, or USHER without his inspiration and creavity.

I actually have a copy of Michael’s LP Bad. Yes, vinyl!

Godspeed, MJ! Your legacy will live forever in music!

Watch a couple of my fav MJ moments…

Fast forward to 5:08 on the second video…AMAZING!
