Call it lame, but one of my favorite parts of the day is in the morning standing in front of my closet wondering what the f I’m going to wear. This usually ends up with me flying down 490 late for a morning meeting…but at least I look descent doing it.

Being the financially responsible young woman that I am (HA), I’ve decided to get a roommate to help me save some ca$h. So I’m moving upstairs from my dark dreary basement studio apartment to a top floor 2-bedroom with our weekender extraordinaire, Junior Mint. The thought of sunshine, windows bigger that an index card & an apartment big enough to finally get a kitten excites me.

Packing on the other hand…does not.

I’ve found some ridiculous things I never even knew I had while throwing stuff in boxes. An old baby picture I thought was long gone (check it out on my facebook…it’s rad), my ex’s spare truck key, about 15 flashlights of all shapes and sizes (my Grandpa buys me a new one for practically every holiday).

But the best and most amazing thing I’ve found so far…

A card.

It was sent by my Grandma; postmarked about a month before she passed away 4 years ago. Inside was a new, crisp $20 bill.

Why the heck do I not remember this? And how did I NOT spend that $20???

Now, I don’t know what to do with the money. I feel strange spending it, even though that’s WHY she sent it to me in the first place. If I do spend it, it has to be on something incredibly special. I’m actually debating not spending it at all and framing the entire strange find.

What do you think I should do with the money?

Last night I was invited to a special sneak preview of Sex & The City 2. YES! I have waited SO long for the second movie to come out! The first movie was amazing, and writer/director/producer Michael Patrick King can do no wrong. This flick was sure to be amazing!

But at the end of the movie, empty martini glass in the cupholder and the credits rolling, I found myself sitting there staring at the screen saying out loud, “That’s it?”

The plotline was stretched and ridiculous. Parts of the movie were entertaining, yet completely unnecessary. And although I was excited to know that AIDEN would be making an appearance in the film – COME ON. Carrie running into Aiden in the middle of a flea market in the Middle East? Puh-leeeeese.

It’s always entertaining and fun to see Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha in action, but I wish they would have left this flick alone and ended things with movie #1.

Well, at least the CLOTHES were FANTASTIC.

Ok, I’m gonna lay it all out on the line. I quit smoking. Yay for me! I’m doing it!

Oh…and I’m hating every second of it.

Spare me the “Now you’re so much healthier & you don’t smell bad & now I can stand to be around you & think of all the money you’ll save” stuff. I know all of that. And all of that stuff is absolutely important. I was slowly killing myself on a daily basis and killing those around me with my secondhand rank. Smoking is one of the deadliest habits on Earth. According to the American Cancer Society, 440,000 people in the US die every year from smoking-related illnesses. Cigarettes kill more people than alcohol, car accidents, suicides, AIDS, murder, and illegal drugs COMBINED.

I know that.

But trust me. That doesn’t make it any easier. And unless you’re a smoker, or a former smoker, you have NO idea how difficult it is.

I’ve taken the precautionary steps that needed to be taken before I actually cut the cord with cigarettes. I’m on medication. I bought lots of gum. I threw out all lighters &  cleaned out my car. It’s definitely helped. A little.

But I’ve realized that having a convenient store’s supply of gum doesn’t help much when a co-worker asks you for something simple and you want to tear their face off in a rage. And then eat it. Because you want to eat everything in sight.

I am completely miserable. I hope this “withdrawl” stage wraps up soon. I don’t enjoy being a raging bitch. And I’m sure my family and friends don’t enjoy it much, either.

I’m not asking for sympathy. I did this to myself for picking up that stanky habit in the first place. All I’m asking for is for you to bear with me. Maybe a little ”Hey, you’re doing awesome, Megan” once in a while would be cool, too?

I’m hoping normal Megan comes back soon, for everyone around me (and my waistline’s) sake.

My co-host on Thursday nights at Tilt Nightclub, Pandora Boxx, is one of my favorite ladies on the planet.  She’s the breakout star of “Rupaul’s Drag Race: Season 2,” and I was seriously ticked off when she “sashayed away” last week. My girl was robbed!!!

But she just gave me the heads up that she will be starring in a NEW show for the Logo TV network– a spinoff of “Drag Race” called “Drag-U.” The premise? A bunch of the most fabulous drag queens on earth help turn straight women into glamourous divas.

The show will debut on Logo sometime this summer. Congrats girl!!!

Last night I put my grudge aside and checked it out again. Thankfully, I have found my new favorite. Andrew Garcia. I remember him killing it during Hollywood week with his cover of Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up.” Last night the boy (with FANTASTIC glasses) did it again with Chris Brown’s “Forever.” Check it out!

Last weekend I was supposed to hang out with the guy I’m seeing right now (the same guy who sent me flowers after the first date) , but I was feeling pretty crappy with a cold, so I cancelled.

About an hour after I cancelled, Flower-Dude shows up at my door– unannounced– to bring me 3 bags of cough drops, 2 bottles of juice, and a bottle of Nyquil. He then says “Now we can hang out!”

Um…that’s…sweet?

Why am I so creeped out by that? Am I alone in thinking that’s a little TOO nice? Am I being a stupid beyotch about this? Leave me your comments!
